Why we're building
The need
For more than 40 years, Black Hills Pregnancy Center has provided free, confidential support to women and families across the Black Hills region facing an unplanned pregnancy. Today we operate out of just 3,000 square feet, serving 250 to 300 women and families each year, a number that keeps growing.
That growth has outpaced our space. When every appointment slot is full, we sometimes have to ask a woman who needs us right now to wait, or come back another day. In this work, timing can be everything.
The plan
The Legacy of Life Campaign will raise $3 million to build a new facility, one built for the need we see every day. The new space adds counseling and exam rooms, an expanded ultrasound suite, and dedicated room for parenting and life-skills education.
Community support like the Round-Up Partner Program is a core part of how we'll get there, alongside major gifts, events, and crowdfunding.
The impact
When this campaign is complete, BHPC will have the room to say yes more often: more appointments, shorter wait times, and expanded programs that support families through pregnancy and into parenthood.

Does this cost my business anything?+
No. There are no fees, no minimums, and nothing to pay. You keep 100% of your own sales. Only the customer's optional round-up goes to BHPC.
What if my point-of-sale system doesn't support round-up?+
Not a problem. We'll work directly with you to program round-up giving into whatever point-of-sale system you already use. No need to switch systems or add new hardware.
Will this annoy my customers?+
It's designed not to. We train your staff on a simple, low-pressure way to mention the program at checkout, so it feels natural, not scripted or pushy. Customers who aren't interested can simply say no thanks. No awkward moment for anyone.
Can I cancel or pause the program?+
Any time, no contract and no notice period. Just let us know.
Is this tax-deductible for my business?+
Customer round-ups are the customer's own gift, not your business's, so they generally aren't deductible on your end. If you'd like to match donations or sponsor BHPC directly, that portion may be deductible. We'd recommend checking with your accountant.
How will I know how much has been raised?+
We track every partner's totals and send you regular updates, so you always know your impact.
